SeasonKeeper is built by a sports family, for sports families. We take your privacy seriously — not because a lawyer told us to, but because we're parents too, and we wouldn't use an app that didn't respect ours.
The Short Version
No ads. No data selling. No third-party advertisers. Ever. Your information exists for one reason: to make SeasonKeeper work for you. That's it. That promise is about the SeasonKeeper app and your family's data. Our public marketing website (theseasonkeeper.com) is separate and, like most business websites, uses standard analytics and advertising cookies. See Website Analytics & Advertising below.
What We Collect
Account Information
- Full name and email address — required to create your account
- Password — encrypted and never stored in plain text
Family Profile Data
- Children's first names, birthdays, sports, and teams
- Caretaker names, roles, and contact information
- Pet names and types
- Home address (for drive time calculations)
Schedule & Calendar Data
- Imported calendar events from iCal/webcal feeds
- Manually created events, tasks, and reminders
- Attendance status and assignment preferences
- Travel rules and departure buffer times
Meal & Nutrition Data
- Meal plans, recipes, and restaurant orders
- Grocery lists and pantry inventory
- Dietary needs and snack preferences
Voice Data
SeasonKeeper uses Apple's on-device speech recognition for voice commands. Audio never leaves your device. Voice audio is processed in real-time on your phone and immediately discarded after transcription. We never store, transmit, or have access to raw audio recordings. Only the text transcript of your command is sent to our servers for processing.
What We Don't Collect
- We don't collect data directly from children
- We don't store voice recordings — ever
- We don't track your browsing behavior across other websites
- We don't put advertising pixels, ad trackers, or retargeting inside the app
- We don't sell, rent, or share your family's app information with third parties for marketing purposes
How We Use Your Information
- Provide and maintain the SeasonKeeper service
- Calculate departure times and drive time estimates
- Generate AI-powered schedule summaries and suggestions
- Send notifications about schedule changes, departure reminders, and assignments
- Process subscription payments
- Improve the app and fix issues
Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
SeasonKeeper is designed for parents to manage their family's sports schedules. We do not collect personal information directly from children under 13.
- Only parents can create accounts. Children cannot create their own accounts.
- Child profiles (name, birthday, sports, teams) are created and managed exclusively by the parent account holder.
- Children may access a limited view of their own profile through a parent-configured PIN, but this access does not collect additional data.
- Voice data from any user (including children using the parent's device) is processed on-device and never stored or transmitted as audio.
- We do not serve advertisements of any kind.
- We do not share children's data with third-party advertisers.
- Parents can view, edit, or delete all child profile data at any time.
- Parents can delete their entire account and all family data at any time through the app.
- We obtain verifiable parental consent during account creation before any child profile data is collected.
Website Analytics & Advertising (Marketing Site Only)
Our public website, theseasonkeeper.com, is separate from the SeasonKeeper app. Like most business websites, it uses cookies and similar technologies for analytics and advertising:
- Google Analytics: measures aggregate page visits so we can improve the site.
- Meta Pixel: records actions on our website (such as pages viewed) and shares them with Meta so we can measure our marketing and show relevant ads to similar families on Facebook and Instagram.
This applies only to adults browsing our public marketing pages. It does not touch your in-app data, family profiles, children's information, or voice data. None of that is ever shared with advertising tools. You can opt out of Meta's ad targeting through your Facebook and Instagram Ad Preferences (facebook.com/help/568137493302217) and manage cookies through your browser settings.

We do not sell your personal information to any third party.
Data Storage and Security
- Account data is stored in Supabase with row-level security ensuring each family can only access their own data.
- Sensitive credentials are stored in the iOS Keychain, protected by hardware encryption.
- Children's PIN codes are stored locally in the iOS Keychain and never transmitted to our servers.
- All data transmission uses HTTPS/TLS encryption.
Data Retention and Deletion
- Your data is retained as long as your account is active.
- When you delete your account, all data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
- Voice audio is never retained — only text transcripts are temporarily processed.
- Weather cache data expires automatically after 24 hours.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access all data associated with your account
- Edit or correct any information
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Export your schedule data
- Opt out of non-essential notifications

Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as SeasonKeeper evolves. We'll update the date at the top and notify you of significant changes through the app or by email.
